hyu hew Posted August 21, 2008 Posted August 21, 2008 (edited) As of right now, I am using a Vista Lite version of Home Premium. I guess something is missing from it because I can't install SP1 ( or maybe I just need to activate it, can anyone confirm that? ) so I downloaded a full version of Home Premium and mounted it. I tried to upgrade and it gets to the very end and it says that one of the components could not be edited (or something around that) and it reboots and reloads the old version. What is my problem? Is it because of having a Lite version up right now and missing components? Should I reformat and then try to install this or should I ( im downloading it right now ) try just upgrading to Ultimate using a Ultimate upgrade CD?So many questions, I'm sorry.. but I need help and if anyone can it would be appreciated.Main question is just which components do I need to have so I can strip down a full version that will be able to install SP1?
