Network Bridge causes reboot loop

OS XP Pro64, fresh installation.

When I select 2 network interfaces (1 is a virtual created by VirtualBox) and bridge them, within 15 seconds of the bridge completion, the Host PC spontaneously reboots and then is in a reboot cycle until I F8 and restore to last know working state.

I am not getting any error message or BSOD to help me.

Any clues on this would be awesome.
