Got a BSOD when installing Windows Xp Sp3.

36. minute, "installing devices".

error 0x0000007e

portcls.sys

searched the net for advice but didn't find anything really helpful.

how can i get past this error?

Check if there is a newer driver for your audio controller, install it and then try Sp3.
