HELP! Form field data disappears when I print!

When I complete forms in Word 2007, I like to unprotect them when I am done filling them out so that I can do some formatting. The problem, which just recently started happening, is that as soon as I hit the print button, all of the data in the form fields disappear. I then need to close the document and have a co-worker print it for me. What gives and how can I fix it? I am desperate at this point. THanks.
