Danny-boy Posted July 16, 2008 Posted July 16, 2008 (edited) Hi guys, I had a problem with my setup, so I tried to reinstall with my unattended windows disc and it crashed half way through with an error message, and now it wont finish installing, at the moment i'm using my neighbours computer to write this!! What are my options?? Is there a way of tweaking the disk using this pc and the internet to over write any corrupt parts of the installation cd?? I dont have any original disks anymore. :wacko:The other thing is, it seems to take forever to copy files to the installation folders, till it crashes, could this be because the HDD is quite full?? Danny-boy Posted July 16, 2008 Author Posted July 16, 2008 Ok, a couple of updates, I remembered I have another Hdd with this same copy of XP on ( ha ha, i know why i dont throw stuff away now!!!) and have managed to rig up PC with it as the OS, also If it helps I have detected the corrupted folders as: $oem$ and I386, Would any of you knowledgeable peeps know if I can copy from the OS that I'm using at the moment and replace these files on a new disk, together with the ones that WILL copy to make a new unattended disk and also much more important, which of the masses of folders XP uses will i find them in!!! Any ideas?! :thumbup
