Bizarre goings on in windows Mail

Hi all

All of a sudden I can no longer see my old deleted or sent messages in Windows Mail - whenever I send or delete new messages they send or delete OK but don't appear in the relevant folder.

It's set up to show all messages and to put a copy of every sent message in the sent folder. If I export all the sent/deleted messages I can see that they are still knocking around somewhere but I just can't see them in Mail.....very odd

Does anyone have any ideas ?????
