smithisize Posted June 16, 2008 Posted June 16, 2008 Hi, I'm using nlite to choose components and such that I wish to remove from my XP pro installation. And I've done that successfully. However, I'm trying to integrate program installation into the windows installation using a program called Almeza Multiset. That program claims it can do everything nlite can plus the program integration, but I've found no way to remove any components, only to add programs. So my question, how can I use these two programs in conjunction with each other to created un unattended install with programs installed also?Or, if nobody is familiar with that question, where does nlite store the info for the unattended? What file in the distribution? Thanks!
Martin H Posted June 16, 2008 Posted June 16, 2008 Either use nLite to integrate the apps, or simply do the program integration manually, without using nLite, by following the MSFN 'Unattended Windows' guide...If you don't want to learn how to make program-addons for nLite, then search for premade ones, as there's a bunch of them available(e.g. in MSFN's nLite/Addons forum section, or on the nLite homepage)...For your last question, then i'm not exactly sure what you mean, but nLite makes a file called WINNT.SIF, which stores the unattended settings... If you mean a nLite profile to reload later on, then they are stored in this folder: %programfiles%\nLite\profiles\ (if i remember correctly)...Other than that, then there's no file in the nLite distribution which holds the "info for the unattended"...
