Changing the normal template?

Whenever I open MSword 2007 the default blank page has headers and footers that I can't delete. How do I reset the default page so I get a header and footerless document. Thanks in advance.

I figured this out there are two files and A set of registry keys to remove. If this happens to anyone just remove all of the below and office will rebuild everything to the original.

%appdata%\Microsoft\Templates\ Normal.dotm template,

%appdata%\Microsoft\Document Building Blocks\1033\Building Blocks.dotx

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\ Microsoft\Office\ 12.0\Word\Data
