Mini Setup unable to join Domain

Hi

I have an image that supports multiple hardware types and has worked well up until now (after updating it)

When i build some machines they join the domain during build with no problem and on some models i get a msg saying "An invalid domain was specified. Would you like to proceed for now and try joining a domain later?"

I have been looking for a solution all day and havent been able to come up with anything.

The same image used to work on all models, but after updating the image with some security patches i have ended up with this problem.

I have compared sif files on models that are able to join domain with sif files of models that dont, and they are very similar

has anyone ever seen this problem before?

I forgot to mention that iam using ris and the images are created with riprep. And the image is SP2

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
