a very wierd problem

Hello, I recently made an unuttended xp cd with service pack 3, with a few addons... anyway, here is what happens when i install it on a vmware machine and press " install vmware tools" :

so... any ideas ?

p.s: I know i can just use one of these switches and install..., but i want to know what caused this in the first place.

also, I installed vista inspirat 2 pack with /S on first logon (runonceex).
