I purchased 2 different USB to Serial ( db9) cables for my laptops and desktops with no serial Port. I need to download bin files from computer to an FTA ( satellite receiver). I have no problems running the program through computers with a serial port.

I've set up the com Port and drivers correctly with the USB-serial cable.. the computers recognize them , but the receiever does not receive the signal-.

It will not work with either operating system XP or Vista, does anyone have any idea as to how to resolve this issue? : :wacko:angry: :angry:
