bbrian
Abbyy FineReader (OCR software) adds some entries to the context menu for PDFs such that I can select a PDF in Windows Explorer and hit File, Abbyy FineReader, Convert into Microsoft Word. I'd like to be able to script this but there's no documentation to say how. I ran ShellExView and all it found was frintegration.dll (in program files\abbyy finereader 9.0). I guess this contains the context menu items as they aren't in the registry. I also used WinInstall to find all the registry settings created when installing FineReader but nothing helped me, I've attached them.I want to be able to OCR pdfs from the command line. The function I want is already there with one mouse click. Any ideas?Finereader.REG
bbrian
I found a utility called Runmenu which allows me to script the pressing of context menu items. It does the job nicely but I didn't research the details of how it works. If anyone has a nice explanation, please let me know. I'd rather not use this as part of my script if possible.
