Making Vista x64 on DVD

Featured Replies

Hello all MSFN users,

I'm going to receive a new laptop which comes without OS, and would like to just buy the download version from DigitalRiver (Microsoft partner) and would like to know how to make the three files (.wim) to bootable from the DOS.

As from what I read that you need to previously own whatever OS it is and then click the install.wim on it (but thing is that my new laptop won't come with an OS)

I know that this question has been answered on another thread but I just too confuse to narrow down the string search and yes, I have try to look the old-fashioned way, thread after thread but then headache start to occur.

Would really appreciate all helps from the users here to make a bootable version instead to buy a physical disc (I downloaded the file already...)

Thank you very much for your respons. :)
