kizzle911 Posted March 20, 2008 Posted March 20, 2008 I have a virtual Exchange 2007 environment set up and I tried to send an email to our corporate network, that worked fine but when I try to reply back to that email, I get a bounce back message saying "The destination server for this recipient could not be found in Domain Name Service (DNS). Please verify the email address and retry."Is this a DNS issue or a SMTP issue. Can someone please help???
dandnsmith Posted March 20, 2008 Posted March 20, 2008 The message strongly suggests DNS - after all the smtp service cannot deliver if it tries to connect to an unknown address which is what it is telling you.For more help, I think you'd need to post more detail - can you exercise the environment, and test out the DNS apart from the Exchange server stuff?
