I was reading a post by MaxWilder http://www.msfn.org/board/lofiversion/index.php/t34760.html about how he used devcon to update NIC drivers. I have a similar problem. I am trying to create an unattended upgrade for server 2000 to server 2003 on 90 standalone servers (not active directory) via Remote Desktop. The files will be sent on a flash drive extracted to a predetermined folder on C:\ . Everything works great including my devcon.bat file to update the Intel pro NIC. The problem is the only place I have found to put the command line for updating the drivers is in the guirunonce section of my unattended.txt file and of course someone has to log in for the runonce section to kick off. Obviously I cannot log on through remote desktop since the NIC is not functioning. In the post I mentioned they were updating across a network but I would think they still had to have updated the drivers first right? Any ideas on where I can run devcon in in my unattended.txt so it loads the drivers during setup?

Thanks

Marty
