Problems with GTAIII after unattended setup

I've created my unattended setup to install all the critical updates (plus some recommended ones), install DX9b, WMP9, .NET Framework, Acrobat Reader 6, WinRAR...well you can pick the rest out of the files I'll put in at the end.

Anyway, I install the nForce 3.13 drivers (that include the 52.16 Detonators) for my A7N8X Deluxe once the entire setup process is complete. I've wanted to play GTAIII again to try out this RealGTA/. Once I started playing it I noticed that textures were taking several seconds to load. The game wasn't lagging or anything, but I would suddenly crash into a wall or building that didn't appear for 3 or 4 seconds.

I thought originally that it was the 52.16 Detonators (I have a GF3 Ti 200 btw), so I tried installing the older 45.xx (whatever they were) and it produced the same results.

I just re-installed Windows with my standard XP SP1 Pro CD, installed the same nForce 3.13 drivers as I did before and then GTAIII. It worked just fine.

I've always been one to think that after installing an operating system, you should install updated chipset drivers (if necessary), and then video drivers before anything else. I threw that belief out the Window when creating this unattended setup, and it seems to have come back to bite me in the a**.

What could possibly be causing the problems in GTAIII? The only other game I loaded in the unattended installation (I didn't load it with the installation, I loaded it after the process was complete) was Halo - and it's worked fine.
