Ms Word2007 - Office Button manipulation.

Is there a way to control and manipulate the buttons on the NEW OFFICE BUTTON,

On older version of word we could program the buttons to behave incertain ways by reconfigureing the control using its ID.

Set iControl = CommandBars("File").FindControl(ID:=3)

iControl.OnAction = "doSave"

the macros when opened in word2007 gets set in the Addins, which is very unprofessional.

I am aware of the ribbon customisation. i have customised the ribbon to display only my tab with buttons which will call the functions i have assigned them to(macros).

Even after disabling the built in ribbons and enabling only my tab. i get three buttons on the Office Buttons (New, Open & Save).

Is there a way i can control the save button or reconfigure the button to perform as i please?
