rwulper Posted February 7, 2008 Posted February 7, 2008 Hello all, I am currently using a Dell optiplex 745. I am trying to install Windows XP Pro Checked build on the unit to debug some driver issues. To install the OS, I am using the version that came with my MSDN subscription (green disk, #2428.8, 11/2005). The problem occurs on the first reboot after starting the install process. I am getting the blue screen of death (Stop error 0x7E). As a test, I installed the regular retail version of XP Pro and everything installed just fine. I have updated my bios and chipsets to latest and greatest but no joy. I have also tried formating the hard drive and booting off the disk, but I get the same error. I have found and downloaded the checked version off the microsoft web site (WindowsXP-KB835935-SP2-DEBUG-ENU.exe) and continue to get the blue screen.Any help here would be appreciated.Rich
