I need to download an Operating System ( Windows Vista Home Basic 32 Bit) Disk so that i can reinstall a fresh copy. I kinda screwed up by running windows anytime upgrade and not realizing that i deleted everything that was already on pc. I need to start from scratch.

I also have the reinstallation DVD ( Windows Vista Home Basic 32 Bit ) but when trying to install on startup it says that there are no files or drivers for this to start. It is only for use when reinstalling the operating system on a dell pc which is what i have.

These disks came with pc when it was purchased. Well the first one did . Th windows anytime upgrade came in after a few months later.

I am looking to download onto usb flash device that is about 5.96GB free. Not on this present pc though. I am using mine to download OS because it has internet. The pc that i am working on is just sitting idle beside me waiting for an OS to get it started via usb device. MY intension anyhow.

Can someone help me out?

I did go to dells website but i don`t think they have OS`s available for download.

Can or should i just download a bios that matches this Service Tag and run that from usb device to get this other pc up and running?
