Server 2003 Domain (Setting Prefered DC for login)

Hi,

is there a way in group policy of forcing pc's to use a specific DC when logging in? I know about setting up subnets in sites and services but the DC and PC's are on the same subnet but at opposite sides of our factory.

Any Ideas?

No, the only way to do this is to make multiple sites. Machines will try to log onto the DC in their site before trying DCs at other sites. Why would logging onto a machine at the other side of the factory make a difference, might I ask?

well I wanted to try and keep the network traffic segregated as much as possible. but if it not possible without setting up a subnet for them I won't worry.

No problem - understand segmentation completely, but it just won't be possible.
