Sorry if this has been answered a bunch, but I have an unattended install that right now takes up 3 disks. I am using WPI for applications. I was wondering how tough it would be to set the whole install on a network drive and network boot into it. It RIS the only was to go about it? (I will use a Server2000 machine). What else do I need to do?

I also have Ghost Solution 2.0 if that would make things easier.

Any tips?

Thanks for the help!

The difference between a three disc installation and RIS is quite big; you're going from one side all the way to the other. Why not simply put your installation files on DVD?

This is for a project that involves upgrading over 100 Windows 2000 machines to XP. Most of the computers don't have DVD players :( I figured a multicast would be the easiest way to accomplish this.

Most of the system is in place. Active Directory is up and all computers can be set to boot to a network drive. Can RIS server be run from Server 2000? Or does it need to be Server 2003? I've ruled out Ghost at this point, using Sysprep won't work with the driver packs for such a wide variety of machines.

Thanks for the input!

(edit) Sorry just noticed the RIS forum above. Feel free to relocate my thread. :)
