pompeyrodney Posted December 30, 2007 Share Posted December 30, 2007 After having downloaded this update and attempting to install it on my XP SP2 machine I get the error that the update is trying to install from a network resource that is not available. The choice of update source only gives me "C:\DOCUME~1\ADMINI~1\LOCALS~1\Temp\7zS4F.tmp\" or ".NET Framework 1.1 with SP1 disk 1" When I try to browse for netfx.msi I do not appear to have the correct version it is looking for on my PC. When the installer runs it mentions KB886903 as well but if I download and install this first it makes no difference at all. Any help would be much appreciated, thanks. cluberti Posted January 1, 2008 Share Posted January 1, 2008 I would suggest uninstalling the current version of .net 1.1, and reinstall with the latest .net 1.1 SP1 release (and download and save the file somewhere you won't delete it from when you do the install just to be safe, so this doesn't happen in the future).
