TheBigEye
I have a single server environment.... running the server as a domain controller..... I have changed the default group policy to modify the password restrictions. I can't seem to get the dc to update itself with the new policy. I know I have run across this problem before, but I can't remember wht I did to fix the problem. The server is running 2003 R2 and will have about 25 computers and about 150 accounts on it. The server is used for a school computer lab. Any ideas??
FAT64
Well, with a Windows 2000 DC, I would use the "Domain Controller Security Policy" console.
TheBigEye
Yes, but the policy is not replicating to itself. IE... i made the change, waited for a while (now been three days) and the policy hasn't changed.... if I try to create a new user and put in the default password, I get the error saying that it doesn't match the group policy in place... meaning, that the policy I set has not replicated to itself. cluberti
Which exact policy did you modify, which setting inside that policy did you change, and what did you set that policy to? That'll help a bit.
