kmaheshkumar Posted December 18, 2007 Posted December 18, 2007 at first i integrated the vista transformation pack to xp source and then i made some modifications and i used cd-rw to check it but after running the runonce.cmd the vivp.exe is running and my mouse is getting hang no further process going on is there any way to get vista look for my xp with my unattended setup
spacesurfer Posted December 19, 2007 Posted December 19, 2007 Dude, vista transformation pack allows you to directly modify the setup files. Have you tried that yet? When you run the installed, it asks you that option - to transform the install source instead of the actual XP that is installed.
kmaheshkumar Posted December 19, 2007 Author Posted December 19, 2007 i first did it only after installation it has to run vivp.exe but after finishing the runonceex my pc is hanging up and no further process is going on so i cant understand what is happening
Kelsenellenelvian Posted December 27, 2007 Posted December 27, 2007 Yeah don't use VTP. Can you ctrl-alt-delete and kill vivp.exe?Other than that make sure you actually have vivp.exe on your disk where it is supposed to be.WAIT?!?!?then i made some modificationsJUST what kind of modifications?
spacesurfer Posted December 27, 2007 Posted December 27, 2007 what is vivp.exe? i thought we were talking about vista transformation pack or vtp.exe? am i missing something?anyway, i have never been able to fully finish the installation with vtp 8 because when it tries to transform shell32.dll, it hangs there. i just manually reshack all the files. during installation, all the resource files are created in a folder called c:\vtp8 files. copy them and use reshacker.exe manually. works for me.
Kelsenellenelvian Posted December 27, 2007 Posted December 27, 2007 vivp.exe is the package that VTP uses to finish its integration of the little "Extras" you're supposed to get with it.
