VPN connection from Vista to WS2003

I have a VPN connection configured on XP - i do the usual and it connects fine without problems. I then create a connection in Vista - same details etc but returns back "Failed to connect to VPN Connection" - not sure why as no other errors are generated but do i need to do something extra in Vista? Ive tried this on 2 Vista PCs and the same error appears.
