Auto Slide Transition with Dual monitor

Hi

I am running 2 monitors 1st(primary) with my normal desktop and the 2nd with a powerpoint presentation running with automatic slide transition. When the powerpoint presentaion is clicked in the task bar the powerpoint runs smooth and with no problems as soon as I click onto another application on the 1st screen the the powerpoint pauses on the 2nd screen until I click the powerpoint button on the toolbar and it will resume as normal. Is there any way the powerpoint will run while I am using other applications (eg, excel)? Or are there any known files or patches I can download for this to work properly?
