sivnet Posted November 1, 2007 Posted November 1, 2007 I am doing a xp pro unattended install. I was wondering if there was a way to have the network adapter have installed upon boot netbeui, or any other protocol for that matter. Copying the files to place to have it installed is not an issue, but i would like to have it installed on the network adapter.
zorphnog Posted November 1, 2007 Posted November 1, 2007 What exactly are you trying to do? You want to have the adapter installed and configured? You can set up the adapter in your syspre.inf/unattended.txt file.
sivnet Posted November 2, 2007 Author Posted November 2, 2007 Exactly. I have it currently set the IP address, but how do i set it to install a protocol? I knows how to have it copy over the files to the proper location, just install it. Also cause it is netbeui it does not need to be 'configured' just installed and enabled.
zorphnog Posted November 2, 2007 Posted November 2, 2007 Have you even attempted to use the help files? All of this stuff is in ref.chm. Add the following to your sysprep.inf/unattended.txt:[NetProtocols]MS_NetBeui = params.MS_NetBeui
sivnet Posted November 5, 2007 Author Posted November 5, 2007 Didn't work for w/e reason. Also using nlite and edited the winnt.sif file. Top that all off if ya click on the custom settings says netbeui -> disabled.... Yeah did that working so yeah. I did look in help file and got lost fast.
