R3verseEngin33r Posted October 29, 2007 Share Posted October 29, 2007 Hello once again,Cant seem to get my head round this one, its sending me ..After making changes to my Shell32.dll files in my Windows XP Professional x64 Edition BUILD 5.2.3790.1830with Restorator 2007 to replace the AVI's and the icons,I seem to have messed up the System Properties tabs -->> Shell32.dll Problems.jpgNow i know with windows X64 i had to replace both sets of Shell32.dll [ system32 ] + [sysWOW64 ]I done this to both Shell32.dll files saved them booted in safe mode and used Task Manager to kill the explorer.exe process and then used CMD to replace the files..Now im stuck with this issue and in the panic seemed to have deleted both original BACKUPS For now i guess i can live with it for a while, But does anyone know how i can get originals back ??Can i extract them from my original MS CD ? ..Thanx for you time.. System Restore, Automatic Updates and the Remote tabi also can not access Device Manager..I did also make changes to the Explorer.exe as well as Shell32.dll,But my main problem is not having the Originals to Replace them, i search all over but can only finddownloads for 32bit files..Lets this be a lesson to anyone Run VMware i know im going to from now on..
