jca2007 Posted October 29, 2007 Posted October 29, 2007 I get 0x8004230C error when trying to install 32bit Vista SP1 Beta. Does anyone know a fix for this, or what is causing it, so I can install the beta?
cluberti Posted October 29, 2007 Posted October 29, 2007 That error means "VSS_E_VOLUME_NOT_SUPPORTED", and it's coming from VSS. Are you doing a clean install or an upgrade? If you're doing an upgrade, it's trying to back something up on a filesystem not supported, likely.

Is there an install error log someplace?
