expired Vista question

Okay, my Vista has expired and I can get into limited version of it, which is IE. I have been reading around for most of the morning and I see that you can do a "slmgr -rearm" to extend Vista for 30 more days, and from what I read, this can be done for a total of 30 days each.

I am don't have my laptop with me now, but How can I access the cmd?

Can I just type in "file://c:\" and go find cmd and run as administrator? If there are any more ways to extend my vista that I missed please inform me.
