I have searched the forum here, but could find any topic about a backup when SP2 is installed for retail versions.

I have a legal retail CD version of Windows XP Home edition and installed it severall times. After a while the activation went wrong (it seems i've RE-installed windows to many times) and now I have to call the Microsoft Activationdesk to explain what the ... I'm doing (they ask you what the CD looks like, where the windows logo is and what the colour is of the productkey-label).

I'm working with slipstreaming for severall years now but couldn't find a solution for this problem.

I've tried to backup the WPA.DBL but it never worked and found here that this option can't be used anymore since I've slipstreamed SP2.

I've also tried the OEM-Bios methode without succes.

The "AutoActivate=Yes" in the WinNT.SIF transfers me back to the Activationdesk of MS.

Is there another way to backup or will I call the rest of XP's life to the activationdesk (In that case I can better switch back to my previous Ghost-image methode...)

Thanks
