lawrenh Posted October 20, 2007 Posted October 20, 2007 (edited) When I try to install a program needing MS installer I get the following: THE WINDOWS INSTALLER SERVICE COULD NOT BE ACCESSED. THIS CAN OCCUR IF THE WINDOWS INSTALLER IS NOT CORRECTLY INSTALLED. CONTACT YOU SUPPORT PERSONEELE FOR ASSISTANCE." On several automatic downloads, I get ERROR 641. Are these related? How can I get the Installer woring again? Does it have something to do with NET Framework 1.1? that also seems to be missing. Thanks PS Of course this is Widows Vista...
