jeff.sadowski
I'd like to know if its possible to lock down print options a bit.I couldn't find it on the forums but I could have been looking for the wrong thing The search options for this forum need fixed up a bit.Ok so I have a print server and 4 printer shares to one printer.1 printer share is for black and white1 is for black and white duplex (default)1 is for color1 is for color duplex.I set the defaults from the advanced tab on the print server like above but when I print to black and white duplex from a client it prints color and duplex was off.I checked the properties on the client and they where set different from the setting on the print server. so my question is can they be set on the print server so they can not be over written on the clients? Or not even locked down just set so the clients change when I change the default settings?I know on a samba server I could set this up via sharing the printer as a postscript printer and using filters but then doing that way I would have no way of using some of the special features such as paper drawer selection and staple features.
