Desktop Redirection Problems

Hi there

I have a problem with desktop redirection. If I allow read and write access to the folder with the desktop icons in it, that works but the problem is that some pc's have individual software on them with icons in the all users desktop and these icons are then copied to the server and then everybody gets the icons on their desktop which I Don't want.... I tried just giving read access to the desktop folder on the server but it doesn't work properly when I do that because it keeps throwing an error about user has not got write permission to the desktop folder !! I dont want them to have write permission, it defeats the whole point of desktop redirection if i do that!

I'm sure there is a way of sorting this but I'm all out of ideas... anybody know of a workaround which is fairly simple?

Sod it, I'm using a script instead to add icons depending on which OU the computers are in... Much more efficient than the redirection thing.
