Hi. I have an INTEL MAC and I want to install Windows on a partition. However, in order for the Mac to work properly with it i need Windows XP and SP2 to install at the same time (on the same disc). So I used nLite to slipstream the SP2 and then burned the ISO to a bootable DVD. I thought it would work but when i booted from the DVD, it started checking the system and the error "NTDETECT FAILED" comes on the screen, thus ending my installation before it ever really begins. Any suggestion? I've burned multiple discs but none of them get past that first error. PLEASE HELP.

I just reread the instructions that you posted the link to but it seems like its everything i've already done. i created a slipstreamed xp sp2 disc using the sp2 download from microsoft and an OEM install disc (from Gateway) using nLite. The disc is bootable but it gives me an error when it inspects the hardware...

It could have something to do with the fact that the XP CD you have was meant to be installed on a Gateway. Oh, and what you're doing isn't legal, either - that copy of XP is only meant for the machine it was purchased with.

If you acquire a valid retail or OEM retail copy of XP, you'll probably have much better luck. Sorry I can't help further, but we can't assist you in violating the EULA for XP, it's against rule #1 of the forum rules.
