badmaghz Posted August 24, 2007 Posted August 24, 2007 Hi there,I am trying to boot the BartPE image over the network using Microsoft Remote Installation Service (RIS) and here i am writing the details of how i have configured.The folder structure is as followingE:\RemoteInstall\Setup\English\Images\BartPE\i386\templatesUnder templates i have the following filesNTDETECT.COMNTLDRSETUPLDR.EX_STARTROM.CO_STARTROM.COMWinnt.sifand the content of sif file is as following:[SetupData]BootDevice ="ramdisk(0)"BootPath ="\i386\System32\"OsLoadOptions ="\noguiboot /fastdetect /minint /rdexportascd /rdpath=%INSTALLPATH%\%MACHINETYPE%\BartPE.iso"Architecture ="i386"[RemoteInstall]Repartition = No[OSChooser]Description=“briefdescription”Help=“longerdescription”LaunchFile ="%INSTALLPATH%\%MACHINETYPE%\templates\startrom.com"ImageType =FlatVersion = "5.2(0)"the ISO image is underE:\RemoteInstall\Setup\English\Images\BartPE\i386When i boot from iso, after loading the image from tft to the ram, the progress bar of Starting BartPE apears, and then the windows XP progress bar starts then the blue screen comes stating the following.....A PROBLEM HAS BEEN DETECTED AND WINDOWS HAS BEEN SHUT DOWN TO PREVENT DAMAGE TO YOUR COMPUTER. AN INITIALIZATION FAILURE OCCURRED WHILE ATTEMPTING TO BOOT FROM THE RAM DISK. IF THIS IS THE FIRST TIME YOU'VE SEEN THIS STOP ERROR SCREEN, RESTART YOUR COMPUTER. IF THIS SCREEN APPEARS AGAIN, FOLLOW THESE STEPS:CHECK TO MAKE SURE ANY NEW HARDWARE OR SOFTWARE IS PROPERLY INSTALLED. IF THIS IS A NEW INSTALLATION, ASK YOUR HARDWARE OR SOFTWARE MANUFACTURER FOR ANY WINDOWS UPDATES YOU MIGHT NEED.IF PROBLEMS CONTINUE, DISABLE OR REMOVE ANY NEWLY INSTALLED HARDWARE OR SOFTWARE, DIABLE BIOS MEMORY OPTIONS SUCH AS CACHING OR SHADOWING. IF YOU NEED TO USE SAFE MODE TO REMOVE OR DISABLE COMPONENTS, RESTART YOUR COMPUTER, PRESS F8 TO SELECT ADVANCED STARTUP OPTIONS, AND THEN SELECT SAFE MODE.TECHNICAL INFORMATION:*** STOP: 0X000000F8 (0X00000002, 0XC0000034, 0X00000000, 0X00000000)I have build the BartPE image from windows2003 SP1 using PE Builder.Could anyone please help me with this problem.Regards,
