What to do when there's no driver support?

At today there's still no Vista driver for my Epson EPL-5900L laser printer.

As I don't want to buy another printer (and maybe get the same problem with future OS!) I was wondering if there was an alternative solution to get my printer working with Vista? :}

Consider that it has a USB/parallel port only so no network card.

i was in the same dilemma as you with my usb wireless adapter from dell they never released any vista drivers for it and they said there will never be a driver for my version of adapter. i was just about ready to buy a new adapter and someone told me to try the xp drivers so i did extract the drivers from installer and did a manual install of just the drivers it's been working ever since with no problem. i think it even works better with vista than it did in xp.

good luck

I already tried a forced installation.

The printer is detected, but then it just doesn't print at all.

I don't want to spend another $ 200-250 for a new laser printer so I guess it's no Vista until there's a solution. :no:

i just check the epson site and the last drivers they released for your printer is win2000 which was released on 2004 and there are no windows xp drivers for it either. how old is that printer?
