opening .jpg files in Outlook 2003

My wife and I share a computer with Microsoft office Basic edition 2003 installed. When we get an outlook e-mail with a .jpg attachment I can open it with no problem. When she tries in her user account it does not open and the error message "application can't be found" appears on the screen. I've tried re-installing & repairing but that does not help. Looking for suggestions..
