Rykerza Posted August 6, 2007 Posted August 6, 2007 Hey Guys,So I've searched through the forums and have come up dry.Im at the point where Im able to boot from my USB HD and have the Windows Installer startup, format the local HD and copy over the files, however, it wont complete the install unattended!I've placed the winnt.sif file in the i386 folder and I know the file works since I've used it on a cd and have installed a couple of machines already.Anyone have any ideas? This is driving me nutz!
mmarable Posted August 6, 2007 Posted August 6, 2007 You cannot just execute the setup and have it run attended that way. You need to treat this as a network install and specify the unattended file as well as other parameters. You will also need to relocate your $OEM$ tree as well.Search for network install or WinPE installs on the forums here. That will turn up several postings that will explain it all in detail and provide step by step instructions to set it all up.
