Loss of video/audio...

Hi,

Not sure if this is a problem w/ video card, but could be.

Problem: I suddenly lose any picture on my monitor, and lose sound as well. My monitor appears as if it isnt plugged in, it says "No input signal." All this while my computer remains on, and seems to be running normally. I was even playing a game online with a friend and they said I just seemed afk. I have tested all the connections, even trying a different monitor. A restart sometimes works, sometimes it does nothing. This started recently, but it happens at random, sometime right after I start-up or sometimes after my computer has been on for hours.

I checked my video card, it seems to be running fine and is not over clocked or anything, the fan is still running on it, my cpu isnt over clocked either. The thing is I lose an input signal, and my speakers quit simultaneously, and those are from two separate things, the video from my vid card, but my sound card is built into my motherboard. So not sure what is causing this. Any help would be greatly appreciated, this is driving me nuts.
