Office 2000 Administrative Setup Problem

Hi all,

I am unable to create an administrative install from both a Office 2000 Pro and a Office 2000 small business cd.

setup.exe /a

Brings up the Administrative Setup window but that just hangs at "Preparing to install Microsoft Office 2000 Professional" for awhile and then tells me installation is complete without prompting me for anything. No files are installed either.

I have tried this on Windows 2000, XP and Vista. I have also tried this on multiple computers and new installs. So I must be doing something wrong?

Update: It does seem to be creating an installation point. The files are being copied to the root of the drive the original files are on no matter what the path of the original files is.

I'd really appreciate any tips or pointers as to why this is happening.

Note: Office 2003 creates an admin point just fine.
