Recovery drive D:

Just got a new computer yesterday, and it's the first computer I ever had that came with a recovery drive. Well, I installed a few games. One particular game froze maybe twice, and I had to use ctrl+alt+delete to end it. What I noticed was that the space in the recovery drive decreased by 10%/maybe 1 gb every time I ended the game. I stopped trying to play the game, fearing that I'd have to force another end, thus losing more space. My recovery drive originally had 10 gb, and now it's down to about 6. I noticed a file called factory.wim, and it was about 3 gb...and I'm wondering if that was the problem. What should I do to free up the space I lost? Should I delete it?

factory.wim is original image of vista that they installed on your computer, that is what you would use to go back to how your comptuer was setup when you got it from the store, look on the partition for a file with a .DMP extension, it almost sounds like a memory dump is being created on the that recovery partition. get a details view of the volume and sort by date to see what the newest file to be created

I used the search option to find any files with the .DMP file extension, but there weren't any files at all.
