MS and PDF Converter Prfessional Conflict

After installing PDF Converter Professional MS Word 2000 crashes after it opens and it gives the following message Error Signature------ AppName: winword.exe AppVer: 9.0.0.3822 ModName: winword.exe ModVer: 9.0.0.3822 Offset: 00395c27.

How could I make PDF Converter and MS Office Word 2000 be without conflict?

I just had the same problem using Word 2000 in 2024. BTW, Word 2000 still works great but you need to find and install compatibility pack for Word 2000 to be able to open and save  .docx files and other newer file formats. 

First make sure that system and hidden files are visible in your Windows view settings.

Then search entire drive for normal.dot file which is a Word’s template file. This template file does not get deleted when reinstalling Word. You need to delete every normal.dot file, and then Word will start with creating new uncorrupted template.

I had three normal.dot files. Deleted them and all works again.
