How do I save an embedded and animated picture?

I am using Microsoft Outlook 2003. In a recent email to me, there was an embedded and animated picture that I would like to save. When I right click on the picture, I can save it but only as a bmp file. When I open that saved image in a picture viewer, the image is not animated. How do I save the image, so that when I open it in a viewer, it is animated the same way as the original image in the email that was sent to me?
