neutralx Posted July 13, 2007 Posted July 13, 2007 Hey everyone. I'm new to this board and I've read quite a lot of thread trying to install SATA RAID drivers by slipstreaming it on the XP installation CD. OKAY, here is the problem. I followed the directions on pcstats.com and finally managed to slipstream the drivers and burn the installation CD. Now I can breeze through first part of the installation where the drivers are copied onto the HD. After reboot, I see the Windows XP slpash for a second and then *BAM* blue error screen. After reading a more threads on this error phenomenon I came to the conclusion that the error is occuring because of my HD. But I could be wrong. It could be my mobo. That's where you guys come in. Here are my specs:ECS P4M900T-M V1.0 moboIntel Core 2 Quad Q66002 WD Caviar SE 120Gig SATA HD2x1Gig OCZ Dual Channel DDR2 PC2 5400 SDRAMSAPPHIRE Radeon X1550 Video CardI tried flashing my bios with the latest one from the ECS website.I also slipstreamed the lasted via sata raid controller driver v. 5.50b from VIAarena.COM (Also note: Under v 5.40a in the ECS website it says "1.5v": What could this mean? 1.5 volt?)I tried taking out one RAM. Didn't work.I know the HDs aren't bad because when set to IDE I can install windows without problems.Anyone have any clue on what the problem is? I think it might be the cheap mobo.
neutralx Posted July 14, 2007 Author Posted July 14, 2007 (edited) Do you think it might be because I partitioned the raid0 hd? I'll try to install without a partition and see what happens. Edited July 14, 2007 by neutralx
