locking text fields in Forms

There is likely an easy solution to this, but I'm not as computer literate as I think I am. I have created documents that contain text form fields, but my coworkers often accidentally delete them. I can't use the Protect Form button, as the protected text often needs to be changed case by case.

Is there any way I can lock or embed the text fields so that they cannot be deleted?
