Power Icon in Vista Ultimate

I have upgraded to Vista Ultimate from Win XP MCE. Everything else works fine.

I have noticed that the power options or power meter icon in the Taskbar and Start Menu Properties is grayed out and cannot be added to the system tray (notification area).

Is this by default or is this a malfunction?
