Office 2003

I have been working on getting Office 2003 slipstreamed with the latest updates and ran into something interesting and would like to know if anyone else has had this happen. I have an image of xp pro loaded in vmware and then install the office 2003. Once it is installed, I then go to windows updates and it lists the same 15 office updates I previously slipstreamed into office. Yet, if I open word and check for updates through microsoft's office update section, it tells me "Your Office products are up-to-date!".

Has anyone else run into this?
