Hi

Was wondering if anyone could help, I was wanting to put a parentheses around three lines of text, I have seen it done in Word before and cannot for the life of me see how to complete it.

eg

one

two

three

putting } round all three of these lines.

Any Ideas?

Thanks

Use equation editor. In 2003, You insert an object, then choose Microsoft Equatio 3.0. If you are missing it, then it is probably not installed (the default is to not install), so you'll need CD to add it.

In 2007, go to insert tab and then choose equation.

For both, you simply choose braces, or brackets and choose nxn matrix to insert your lines of text.

Here's an example with 2007.

You must add the matrix and the bracket in the same equation, not as separate equations.

See attached.

(It doesn't matter what version you are using as long as it's > Office 97 and you have Equation Editor.)
