I am curious what the /verify option does during an /apply operation.

The only documentation I could find

technet2.microsoft.com/WindowsVista/en/library/bb068119-1ba6-48c7-9ad7-3ed3f72592e91033.mspx

states the the /verify switch while applying an image, "enables file resource verification". What does this mean?

Is the /verify option during an image apply operation just verifying that the files were copied successfully from the image file to the partition?

Or

Is the /verify option during an image apply operation just verifying that the partition table entries are there for each file?

Is there any more documentation out there that has information regarding an imagex /apply operation with /verify option?

below is all of the information I could find on the internet regarding the imagex /verify switch:

/verify

Enables file resource verification by checking for errors and file duplication.

/verify

Verifies duplicate and extracted files

http://blogs.technet.com/mattmcspirit/rss_tag_Deployment.xml

/verify

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
